Fenway Park has pickles now?! My friend and I had to try them out. Cost us $2 but tasted scrumptious and I'll likely get them every time now.
As May has come to a close (already!), it’s time for another “what I’m consuming!” I received a lot of positive feedback from everyone on my first one, with new ideas and suggestions that I have added to this next entry. Thank you very much to everyone I spoke to or interacted with! So, without further ado, here’s everything I’ve been filling my world with this month.
MAY 2024
MUSIC
Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter

Okay, okay, I know what you’re thinking… “but Faith, didn’t you say in your last post that you love Olivia Rodrigo?” and the answer to that would be YES. Let it be known that I am an Olivia Rodrigo fan until the day I die, Team Olivia, whatever you want to call it…but Espresso is such a BOP. It is an absolute banger I am sorry I cannot fight the pain any longer. It has been on repeat in my car. And it has stayed on repeat this month! You go Sabrina, my fellow five foot legend (though I'm proud to say I am a few inches taller).
Movies
American Fiction

My professor suggested I watch this because of its award in screenwriting. I need to read the script as well to really understand its impact, but it really is a beautiful film deserving of recognition. I think the entire concept is hysterical and yet, it still manages to be heartfelt and dramatic.
New! TV
This Is Us

When This Is Us first came out, my mom and I would watch it weekly and loved the dynamic between Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore). However, we fell out of touch with the show after the first season, but I still would occasionally think fondly of the show and wish there were a way to watch it on demand. This year, This Is Us was released onto Netflix, and ever since then I have been binging the entire show and loving every minute of it. It is sometimes very dramatic and slightly predictable, and often features at least two Emmy Award-teasing speeches per episode. However, I still love it. I am on the last season now, with only 16 episodes left, and I am not sure what I'll watch next.
Books
Beautiful World, Where Are You

Sally Rooney is becoming one of my favorite authors. I read Normal People about a year or two ago and was instantly obsessed with it. Beautiful World, Where Are You has the same beauty as Normal People did, and I am flying through the book. I highly recommend her work, it is so unique and well-written!
Food
Hot Lobster Roll

My dad loves a good hot lobster roll and wanted me to try it one night when we were out to eat. Honestly, it is not anything fabulous. I am not a huge fan of seafood as is, but this doesn’t really taste like anything to me. I am glad I tried it though, but likely not something I will order in the future!
Drink
Water…lol

Okay what I mean is that I am trying to drink more water. Usually I average maybe half a cup a day and I do not necessarily think that is an exaggeration nor is it great for my health. However, lately I have been trying to drink 64 ounces a day, which is two bottles of my orange Hydroflask. That should be enough to properly hydrate my body, right?
NEW! My Pick of the Month
Hay Day

One suggestion made was having a favorite app or game that I’ve been rocking with this past month (thank you Ben!). What I decided would be a good way to add this in was to have a space for me to put down whatever I felt met this category each month - whether it be a game, an app, or something else, like a store I've been frequenting. For this month, I chose Hay Day, a game I’ve been obsessed with for years now but I recently re-downloaded. My farm is looking gorgeous and I just hit level 31!
That’s it for this month, thank you for reading as always. Let me know if you’ve consumed any of this yourself or want me to try something for next month!
See you at the end of June!

VERY PRO HAYDAY
